Daylily Gallery
I love daylilies!!!! There are over 440 different varieties now in my yard. I am now starting to hybridize my own seedlings so, watch for them this summer as the first ones should bloom then. It will take a while for me to upload all the varieties, so check back to see what is new!
When you click on each picture a larger picture will show with a description below it. I have put the hybridizer and the year registered in brackets and the parentage. Then these terms that were used by the hybridizer to describe the daylily...
Ev ... evergreen foliage that stays green all winter
Sev ... semi-evergreen foliage that partially stays green
Dor ... dormant foliage that dies back to the ground totally
The next two abbreviations refer to the number of chromosomes in the daylily.
Dip ... Diploid
Tet ... Tetraploid
After the abbreviations I have included the height of the daylily in bloom, when it blooms (E for early, M for mid blooming and L for late blooming) and then a description of the flower, including the size of the bloom.
Lastly I have tried to include any awards that particular daylily has received.
